Your Mom’s Average Cleanser

I’ve been using Noxzema for as long as I can remember. My mom actually used it in high school and eventually introduced it to me when I was younger. As a 10 year old, I didn’t exactly need to start using a facial cleanser but after long days of dance competitions I was taught to use Noxzema to take off my stage makeup, and it was a miracle worker! Not a spec of blush or gooey eye lash glue in sight. As I got older I discovered I was blessed with the misfortune of oily, acne prone skin. I tried every acne fighting cleanser out there, and nothing seemed to work so eventually I resorted back to the product that treated me so well. In the past few years my skin has really cleared up and I can thankfully say I no longer experience any of those terrible blemishes (except for the occasional one every few months…but I’ve learned to deal). I use Noxzema every morning and night to take off my makeup and to give my skin that fresh clean feeling. I always hear that it’s one of those old wives tale-type products, but as I’ve experienced, it is one of the best beauty secrets ever passed down to me. The formula is simple and not harsh on my skin. If I was ever stranded on an island, this would definitely be one of the three things I’d have to take with me!

One of the compliments I usually get is on my long, straight, shiny hair. People always ask how long it takes me to straighten it or what kinds of products I use and I get quite the reaction when I tell them that I don’t anything to it. Unlike 99% of women on this earth, I was blessed with straight, no hassle, easy manageable hair. All of my friends talk about how much conditioner they use and how they run out so quickly, but I only use it about once or twice a week. Conditioner seems to make my hair greasy and weighs it down. Expensive shampoos and conditioners seem to do the opposite for me, so thats why I stick with Suave’s All Natural Green Apple Shampoo. Its about $1 or $2 depending on where you buy it and smells AMAZING! The scent lasts all day long and my hair is light and clean from first thing in the morning until late at night. It doesn’t dry out my roots and cleans my hair without any build up. Sometimes the cheapest products do the most work!
